Terms & Conditions

Last updated: March 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Direct Selling Industry News ("DSIN", "we", "us", "our"), a news and editorial portal published by the Direct Selling Partnership ("DSP"). By accessing, browsing or submitting content to the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Website.

2. Editorial Purpose

DSIN publishes news, press releases and editorial content relevant to the direct selling industry in Europe. All published material is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax or business advice.

3. Eligibility & Account Access

The public library is open to all visitors. Editorial accounts (admin and super-admin) are provisioned by invitation only. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity carried out under your account. You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

4. Press Release Submissions

By submitting a press release, image or other content ("Submission") you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to submit the Submission on behalf of the named company or organisation, and — for MLM field representatives — that you have written executive authorisation from the corporate entity.
  • The Submission is accurate, not misleading, and complies with all applicable laws (including advertising, consumer-protection, and data-protection laws).
  • The Submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity or contractual rights.
  • Any court case numbers, statistics, awards or regulatory references cited in the Submission are accurate and verifiable.
  • All images you upload are either owned by you or licensed for editorial publication on DSIN.

You acknowledge that editorial changes may be suggested, that publication is not guaranteed, and that DSIN endeavours to publish all editorially newsworthy and relevant articles about the direct selling industry in Europe.

5. Licence Granted to DSIN

By making a Submission you grant DSIN a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, syndicate, translate and archive the Submission (in whole or in part) on the Website and in connected editorial channels operated by DSIN or DSP. You retain ownership of your underlying content.

6. Prohibited Content

You must not submit or attempt to publish content that:

  • Is purely advertising, promotional puffery, or link spam
  • Is false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful
  • Promotes gambling, firearms, tobacco, weight-loss claims, or other categories excluded by our Editorial Guidelines
  • Infringes intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality rights
  • Contains malware, tracking pixels, or hidden scripts

Full details are set out in our Editorial Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

7. Editorial Discretion

DSIN retains full editorial discretion over what is published. We may accept, reject, edit, unpublish, or amend any Submission at any time and for any reason, including for legal, factual, stylistic or space considerations. We are not obliged to provide reasons for rejection.

8. Acceptable Use of the Website

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its underlying systems.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically download content except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
  • Do not use the Website in a way that could disable, overburden, damage or impair it, or interfere with any other user's use of the Website.

9. Intellectual Property

The Website, its design, branding, code, and all editorial content (other than user-submitted content licensed under Section 5) are owned by or licensed to DSIN and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to published articles for non-commercial personal use; all other use requires our prior written permission.

10. Third-Party Content & Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites and references to third-party products, companies or services. Such links and references are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement. DSIN is not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site or service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DSIN disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of content. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DSIN, DSP and their officers, directors, partners, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website or any Submission. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DSIN, DSP and their affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (i) any Submission you make, (ii) your breach of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website, or remove any Submission, at any time and without notice where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms or the Editorial Guidelines, or where required to comply with legal obligations.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a prominent notice on the Website. Continued use of the Website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that we retain the right to bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction where you are established or where a breach has occurred.

18. Contact
